Hello and welcome to Anthrosphere 01*. The early embryonic blueprint of this series was conceived in Beijing. It was completed in New England for the world.

Anthrosphere 01 is a comprehensive photographic series that utilises light and colour to highlight the interactions between humans, other fauna, our surroundings, and social frameworks. The series intends to evoke a sense of curiosity to inquire, interact, and reflect upon our sphere, in past and present.

Anthrosphère 01 est une série photographique qui utilise la lumière et la couleur pour mettre en évidence les interactions entre les humains, les autres espèces, nos espaces et les cadres sociaux. Cette série vise à susciter un sentiment de curiosité pour enquêter, interagir et réfléchir sur notre sphère , dans le passé et le présent.

*The term “Anthrosphere” of the title Anthrosphere 01 is derived from the word “Anthroposphere”. Anthroposphere is defined as that which “encompasses the total human presence throughout the Earth system including our culture, technology, built environment, and associated activities”.¹
